The third thing Im going to do one of my critical reviews on is a well known film called Remember Me. Remember me come out in 2010 and starred a well known actor Robert Pattinson. The reason I chose to talk about this film is because I remember just how shocked I was at the ending and just how much of an impact it had on me after watching it.
The film is described as a romantic drama, and the overall storyline went like your usual romantic film - boy meets girl, they fall in love, have a few dramas and then get back together. Whilst this is true, the overall ending was quite shocking and made you realise more about the story and just how precious life is.
At the end of the film, just as the happy couple get back together after a few ups and downs, Robert Pattinson is tragically killed in a horrific accident and was killed in the twin towers attack. Whilst this doesn’t sound that shocking, the fact the film was based upon this tragedy didn’t become clear until 15 minutes towards the end of the film when a teacher unexpectedly writes the date on the chalkboard, making you as the viewer put the pieces together to realise whats about to happen. The fact the ending is so unexpected, makes you realise more about the tragic accident as it shows how the people involved were just going about their everyday lives, just like Robert Pattinson in the film and just how unexpteced and shocking it was.
